Nine AMFM Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers receive top recognition as top performing centers in the United States

Charleston, W.Va. - AMFM, the largest family-owned and operated West Virginia based skilled nursing and rehabilitation company, has received nine “2016 Embracing Quality Awards” from Providigm, a company that creates data management systems that mirror the Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) process used by state surveyors for their annual inspection of nursing facilities.

Only 298 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers were recipients of the award, and to be eligible for the award, centers had to achieve Providigm’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Accreditation. The winners were awarded for outstanding performances in one or more of three categories:

• attaining a deficiency-free survey in 2016;

• having a low risk rate of readmission to hospitals;

• and achieving exceptionally favorable customer satisfaction ratings.

Nine AMFM facilities received the 2016 Embracing Quality Award for their customer service results. Cabell Health Care Center, Clarksburg, E.A. Hawse, Lincoln, McDowell, Mercer, Wayne, Webster and Wyoming Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers (N&RC) all received the “Embracing Quality Award” for achieving high customer service ratings.

Lincoln N&RC also received the Embracing Quality Award for their effort in preventing hospital readmissions.

“Hospitalizations can be costly and at times unnecessary,” Mary Agnes Argento, Vice President of Quality Services at AMFM, said. “We need to continue working across boundaries with other health care providers to improve the delivery of care, and these two centers have excelled at that goal.”

Clarksburg and Webster N&RCs received the Embracing Quality Award for receiving deficiency-free state survey inspections. Additionally, Webster N&RC has also begun 2017 with a second and back-to-back deficiency-free state survey.

AMFM operates in Braxton, Boone, Clay, Cabell, Summers, Fayette, Hardy, Webster, Wayne, McDowell, Lincoln, Wyoming, Harrison (Clarksburg & Bridgeport), Marshall and Mercer counties.

AMFM’s mission is “To exemplify excellence in quality care to our customers by providing an environment that enhances personal growth, individuality, dignity and respect.”
